CORETM Technology: Understanding Penetration Depths of Different RF Modes
ثبت نشده
چکیده
An in-vivo study was conducted on the skin of two male domestic porcine using a thermal video camera (TiR3FT, Fluke, USA) to determine the tissue heating depth effects at the different RF frequencies available with CORETM technology in the ReactionTM system. The thermal video camera has a temperature measurement range of -20o-100oC with a sensitivity of 0.07oC and an accuracy of ±2 °C. Animals involved in the study were approximately 6 months old and weighed 146.5 and 157 kg and were under full anesthesia by inhalation of Isoflurane (2%-3%).

The Viability of Oil Extraction from Trinidad Tar Sands by Radio Frequency Heating: A Simulation Approach
Trinidad has tar sand resources of about 2 billion barrels of oil on land in the Parrylands/Guapo and Brighton areas. With an oil price of over USD 25 per barrel, the commercial extraction of oil from Trinidad tar sands is viable, but it requires a careful study. The relatively small extent of this tar sand (about 10,000 acres and with depths varying from surface to less than 500 feet) and with...
متن کاملFeasibility study of using acoustic signals for online monitoring of the depth of weld in the laser welding of high-strength steels
It is a trend to use high-strength steels in the automobile industry because of their good formability, weldability, and high strength–volume ratio. In order to achieve quality control, it is necessary to monitor the welding process online. In this paper, acoustic signals generated during the laser welding process of high-strength steel DP980 were recorded and analysed. A microphone was used to...
متن کاملElectromagnetic Initiation and Propagation of Bipolar Radiofrequency Tissue Reactions via Invasive Non-Insulated Microneedle Electrodes
Radiofrequency (RF) energy can be emitted into the skin, either non- or invasively, via a monopolar mode that utilizes an active electrode and a grounded electrode or via a bipolar mode that employs two active electrodes. In this experimental study of RF tissue reactions, bipolar RF energy was emitted in vivo to micropig skin at varying microneedle penetration depths, signal amplitudes, and con...
متن کاملDimensionality analysis of subsurface structures in magnetotellurics using different methods (a case study: oil field in Southwest of Iran)
Magnetotelluric (MT) method is an electromagnetic technique that uses the earth natural field to map the electrical resistivity changes in subsurface structures. Because of the high penetration depth of the electromagnetic fields in this method (tens of meters to tens of kilometers), the MT data is used to investigate the shallow to deep subsurface geoelectrical structures and their dimensions....
متن کاملThe Pattern of Caspian Sea Water Penetration Into Anzali Wetland: Introduction of a Salt Wedge
Measuring salinity of water at different depths along six transacts at the mouth of the wetland and along five tributaries connecting the wetland to the sea the extent of Caspian Sea penetration into Anzali Wetland was determined. The results demonstrated a depth-dependent salinity gradient extending up to 10 kilometres into the wetland. A pattern of saltwater and freshwater interface is presen...
